We know it’s important to have all of your questions answered about our WordPress migration service. Here’s a few we get often.
Migration Questions
When does the migration process begin?
Once you submit your information through our migration form the migration specialist assigned to you will usually contact you within 30 minutes.
How long does it take to complete the migration?
Typically within 4 hours your WordPress migration will be complete and your site will be live on your new host.
Will my site be the same as it was prior to the migration?
Everything that was on the WordPress site you had on your original host will be on the site at your new host. Think of it as a mirror image.
Will my email accounts be migrated to my new host?
It is possible for us to migrate your email addresses as well, but not every host allows us that ability. Your migration specialist will mention it to you during the migration process if it’s possible.
Can you change my domain name during the migration?
We can change your domain name during the migration at no additional cost. Or, we provide a domain name change service for $19 if no migration is required.
What information do you need to begin the migration?
It is essential that we have the Control Panel login for your host (typically cPanel) and your WordPress admin username and password.
Does it matter how large my site is?
Nope. We charge the same regardless of the size of your WordPress site.
DNS Questions
Can I take care of my own DNS changes?
We typically like to handle the DNS changes for you since minor changes can cause major headaches. But, if you feel comfortable making the changes, we have no problem with it.
What if my email is hosted with Google Apps?
That’s no problem at all. We’ll make sure your MX records are still pointing to Google upon completion of your migration.
How long will it take for my domain to point to my new host?
This is dependent upon the TTL that is set on your original hosts nameservers or registrars nameservers. If we can, we typically do is set the TTL to something low, such as 5 minutes. Then once the IP has been changed any DNS cache should clear out within 5 minutes.

Do you provide any type of guarantee?
We are certain you will feel good about your experience with our migration service. So certain that if for any reason you are dissatisfied, we will refund the full amount you paid no questions asked.
Do you provide any other services?
We certainly do. While we don’t (yet) officially list it on our site. We can assist with upgrades, backups, malware mitigation and removal, optimization, CDNs, VPS setups, and general WordPress errors.
